About us...

St Brendan’s GAA Club was established in Grangegorman in 1920. The Grangegorman and Stoneybatter area is a really vibrant area full of characters and with many smiling happy characters. Originally, St Brendan’s was a club that was made up of healthcare workers from across Dublin. There have been many sunny sporting days in Grangegorman, including in 1980 St Brendan’s won the Senior Hurling championship. St Brendan’s has always been a welcoming club. We focus on fun, enjoyment, and participation. Just as Credit Unions have the best interest of their members at heart, St Brendan’s tries its best for its members.

St Brendan’s GAA started its underage section in 2014 and today we keep the fun going for all our members not just our younger ones. We field several Adult Ladies Football, Camogie, Adult Men’s Football, Hurling, Gaelic For Mother and Others as well as our underage teams. Encouraging youngsters to give Gaelic Games a chance can be difficult and helping those that do feel like they belong is important to us. We want to do our very best for all the characters that make up our community. We provide many jerseys to our younger players, those who take part in Gaelic4Girls programs, Gaelic for Boys programs, after-school programs and several other initiatives.

We are very grateful that our local Credit Union, Heritage Credit Union were willing to help us with sponsorship towards providing jerseys for the different participation programs we run and towards ensuring our young players have top class jerseys.
